The Bilz & Kashif snap award at Milan Gala

 The Bilz & Kashif have earned numerous accolades over the past years since their debut album release, but Montreal has always been the last to follow. On May 7th 2011, The Bilz & Kashif were awarded the “PERFORMING ARTS AWARD” in the “MUSIC” category for their hard work over the past years representing Montreal globally. The acknowledgement was awarded by South Asian Alliance of Quebec, a non-profit organization that celebrates success amongst South Asian individuals based in Montreal. “We were extremely honored to be part of this event, and when we received the invite, we finally felt that Montreal realized the stripes we’ve earned representing our home town” says The Bilz & Kashif. Honorary guests included the Mayor of Montreal along with local entrepreneurs who understood the importance of music & arts for the future generations.

The Bilz & Kashif release their brand new video

The Bilz and Kashif are all set to release their latest music video, which is shot from the next single off their chart-topping album, Breaking Barriers.  The video got its first network premiere on AVS this Saturday, which is being followed by a worldwide release on Desi-Box.com, April 17th.

Up until the special viewing of the video this past weekend, the name of the song was a secret! Even though the song name is no longer a secret, we’ll keep it under wraps until the official release. While we patiently await the music video’s official launch, Vicious of the barrier-breaking group shares a few tidbits about the fresh “out-of-the-norm” video!

“Overall the concept is about karma and revenge. It’s very slick, and European. We took time out of our busy schedule to shoot this video in different parts of the world to give it a bit more of an international feel. There are a few surprises in there too that you won’t find on the original record.”

The entire group is proud of their latest creation and is anxiously waiting for the premiere of the video! They gush, “We’re just anxious to premiere this for all our supporting fans. We’re sure you’re going to like this twist, and we look forward to seeing you in your city on our World Tour.” Be sure to watch their latest video on Desi-Box.com when it releases this upcoming Sunday.

The Bilz & Kashif Kick Off the World Tour

The Bilz & Kashif have been busy with their latest World Tour schedule. The tour kicked off in West Palm Beach with an exclusive live drummer set by Montreal’s Finest – Ryan Stevenson, then off to Suriname, South America and now back to the United States – resting is only an option. The Bilz & Kashif took a few weeks off to shoot their brand new video that is slated for release mid-April but in the meantime, they had to give back to the fans. Watch exclusive behind the scenes footage from their World Tour stops in the posts below and witness the day-in-the-life of North America’s hardest working international group.

‘Changin Lanes’ Release Party with the Bilz and Kashif

Beautiful Musique teamed up with Kashif, of the Canadian group The Bilz and Kashif, for the single “Changin Lanes.” In order to celebrate the single’s release, the artists gathered at a grand party at Montreal’s very own, Gas Bar and we have footage from the event exclusively for you!

 As everyone loosens up the dancing begins and it sure looks like this release party was not one to miss!

Kashif featuring on Changin’ Lanes by Beautiful Musique

Watch the exclusive world video premiere for Changin’ Lanes out on Saturday, November 20th  only on http://www.desi-box.com at 5PM (EST). Kashif from North America’s most wanted pop group, The Bilz & Kashif,  ventured on a quick solo appearance and teamed up with Beautiful Musique from LA to feature on their next hit single — Changin’ Lanes. The video is produced by Peezee from SKP Filmz who’s known for their hit videos – Turn the Music Up, On the Dancefloor, Single & Tera Nasha.

Peezee who is the brainchild of “Beautiful Musique” was totally impressed with all the success revolving around “The Bilz & Kashif”. “We were actually just jamming in the parking lot with an instrumental track that Peezee handed to us a day before our videoshoot for ‘Single’. And Peezee asked us if we think of anything crazy to let him know. In a couple of hours Kashif whipped out a massive hook to their rough single” said Vicious, “that’s when we knew it was a hit”. Beautiful Musique hit the studio the very next day, wrapped up the vocals and flew down to Montreal to shoot Kashif’s feature on this hit record. The video will gain rotation not only in the South Asian international medium, but will also premiere on TV Networks such as MTV, BPM TV, MuchMusic & Musique Plus.

Tera Nasha by The Bilz & Kashif enters FILMI Festival

The brand new video “Tera Nasha” by The Bilz & Kashif will be making its world pre-screening premiere at the 11th annual FILMI film festival taking place Sept. 30 – Oct. 3 in Toronto, as part of their 3rd annual music video segment programmed by Raoul Juneja (a.k.a. Deejay Ra). FILMI is currently the longest running South Asian film festival in North America, and was the first film festival to introduce a music video segment to celebrate South Asian artists from across Canada and around the world. The Bilz & Kashif say “This is the third single, “Tera Nasha,” off our brand new album and everyone knows we like to do things different. This is probably the first time we’re pre-screening a video before its official release date. New video set to premiere on July 15th

The Bilz & Kashif’ new video, ‘Single’ from heir smash-hit packed album, Breaking Barriers premiers at desi-box.com/bilz on July 15th.  The track celebrates being single and fabulous.The three, very suave band mates, Vicious, Master D (The Bilz) and Kashif say that the song was written out of personal experience:

“We’ve all been through break-ups or in relationships where we just want to call it quits. There’s nothing like enjoying the single life while it lasts and having that summer love to live for the moment.”

Shot on the beaches of California, this video is as slick and sexy as the song’s lyrics. The video was shot by SKP Filmz who are based in LA, working with Interscope Records and who shot The Bilz & Kashif’s monster video ‘On The Dancefloor’ which has over 166,000 views on YouTube.
